Durak Hazelnuts Attended the AIM-Progress "Basic Labor Rights in Turkish Agriculture" Meeting

At the AIM-Progress "Fundamental Labor Rights in Turkish Agriculture" meeting held in Ankara in early November, Sustainability Manager Vedat Macit and Business Development & Strategy Director Süleyman Durak participated on behalf of Durak Hazelnuts.

The meeting, which brought together over 80 representatives from the public and private sectors, featured a comprehensive roundtable session aimed at strengthening fundamental labor rights in the agricultural sector, evaluating current practices, and identifying common areas for solution.

As Durak Hazelnuts, we had the opportunity to share our long-standing work focused on social harmony, ethical trade, and sustainable agriculture on this platform. This meeting, held with AIM-Progress, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the International Labor Organization (ILO), international brand representatives, NGOs, and producer stakeholders, provided an important platform for collaboration to develop a joint action plan for the future of the sector.

Durak Hazelnuts continues to strengthen its sustainability approach, established in line with the principles of respect for human dignity, responsible production, and ethical sourcing, and to work resolutely with its stakeholders for a more equitable, transparent, and sustainable agricultural ecosystem.
