Lime Application in Our Sample Orchards Before the 2026 Harvest Season

As Durak Hazelnut Industry and Trade Inc., we are meticulously continuing our November-December maintenance work in our sample orchards to achieve a healthier and more balanced yield during the 2026 harvest season. During this period, we implemented lime applications to improve soil structure and ensure the nurseries utilize nutrients more efficiently.
Liming is particularly important in highly acidic soils. This application aims to:
• Balance soil pH,
• Improve plant nutrient uptake,
• Support root development,
• Increase resistance to diseases and pests.
This lime application, which we carried out in our sample orchards between November and December, not only helps the hazelnut orchards enter the winter months stronger, but also contributes significantly to improving soil structure and the long-term productivity of our orchards ahead of the 2026 harvest season.
As Durak Hazelnut Inc., we are determined to continue these practices, which guide our producers, regularly in our sample orchards and to develop sustainable agricultural production approaches.
