Durak Hazelnut continues its wintering efforts to combat the stink bug.

As Durak Hazelnut Industry and Trade Inc., we are conducting field studies with producers to combat the brown marmorated stink bug, which threatens yield and quality in hazelnut production, focusing on wintering areas.

These studies, targeting areas where the brown marmorated stink bug overwinters, aim to prevent the spread of the pest to orchards in the spring. Through technical teams, producers are provided with information and guidance on identifying overwintering areas, appropriate control methods, and correct application times. The overwintering period is considered a critical stage in the fight against the stink bug, and it is predicted that effective work carried out during this period will significantly reduce product and yield losses that may occur during the season. These studies, conducted in cooperation between producers and companies, are considered an important responsibility in terms of sustainable hazelnut production, preserving product quality, and reducing regional agricultural risks. Training, information, and field studies within the scope of the fight against the stink bug are planned to continue in the coming period.
