Studies Conducted Within the Scope of Visits to the Western Black Sea Region

Within the scope of field visits carried out in the Western Black Sea region, the working environments, product storage areas and occupational health and safety practices of greengrocers operating in the region were examined on-site.

During the visits, the daily working conditions of greengrocers, the distribution of tasks of employees, hygiene practices and the level of compliance with occupational health and safety standards were observed in detail; issues such as the order of storage areas, ventilation systems, fire precautions and the use of personal protective equipment by employees were evaluated. In addition, garden visits were made to see the current status of hazelnuts, which are of great importance for the regional economy.

As a result of these inspections, determinations were made regarding the compliance of current practices with the legislation, possible risk factors and areas that need to be improved; and mutual opinions were exchanged with the relevant businesses on examples of good practices and measures to be taken.
