United Nations European Economic Commission (UNECE) Durak Hazelnut Inc. Proudly Represented Turkey at the 10th International PPP Forum

As Durak Hazelnut Industry and Trade Inc., we are very proud to have participated in the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Forum organized by the United Nations European Economic Commission (UNECE).

This prestigious platform, held in Barcelona, is a distinguished international gathering where innovative public-private partnership models contributing to sustainable development goals worldwide are shared, and high-impact potential projects are brought together. Out of applications from around the world, only 70 case studies were accepted and included in the international case study database created for 2026.

Within the scope of the forum, our "Every Child a World" program, which has been implemented and supported by our company's own resources since 2018, was shared with international stakeholders.

Developed to address the multifaceted risks faced by children during seasonal agricultural migration, the program offers a holistic model implemented through collaboration between public institutions, academia, and local stakeholders. The program supports children's access to education, care, and protection services, while also developing sustainable solutions to prevent child labor.

Over eight years of field experience clearly demonstrates that the problem is not limited to child labor; the fundamental issue is the lack of holistic access for children to education, care, and protection. The collaborative model developed in this context aims to create an inclusive, sustainable, and scalable impact for children at risk.

One of the most important gains from the field is that lasting change is possible not only through policies and regulations, but also through locally developed awareness, ownership, and a sense of responsibility.

As Durak Fındık, in line with our responsible supply chain approach, we are committed to actively participating in the fight against child labor and contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 8.7.

Being featured on this important platform, being recognized among international best practices, and being represented as a model from Turkey is a strong source of motivation for us.
