The protection of forest assets, sustainability of soil quality and monitoring of biodiversity are among the basic components of the company's environmental strategy.
3. We Reduce Our Carbon Footprint
We take an active role in combating climate change and adopt reducing carbon emissions as one of our strategic goals. 5. Solar Power Plants and Rooftop Solutions
Thanks to the solar energy systems (SPP) we have installed on the roofs of our factories and our power plants throughout Turkey, we have a large-scale renewable energy production capacity.

Samsun: There is one SPP producing 316.80 kWh of electricity in the Durak Hazelnut Cracking Factory.
Afyon: The approval process for a SPP project with a production capacity of 2,761.00 kWh is ongoing.
In our Western Black Sea Integrated Facility, a total of 1,411,730.00 kWh of solar energy was produced in 2024 alone. Of this energy, 779,242.32 kWh was used for the facility's own electricity needs, while 632,487.72 kWh was offered for external sales.
6. We Invest in the Future
As Durak Enerji and Durak Hazelnuts, we act with the awareness of our environmental responsibility; we develop sustainability-oriented solutions at every stage from energy production to consumption. Every step we take for a carbon-neutral future is part of both our respect for the environment and our responsibility towards society.

Within the framework of the "Social Sustainability Practices Program" carried out together with the global food brand Mondelez, the company provided training to 215 producers on child labor, wage policies, gender equality and safe working conditions. In the evaluations made after the application, a significant increase was observed in the participants' awareness levels on the subject.
8.Social Sustainability: Combating Child Labor
As part of the “Every Child is a World” program, one of the company’s main social responsibility projects, summer schools have been organized for children of seasonal agricultural worker families.
