In hazelnut farming, June is a critical month when product development accelerates and the harvest preparation period begins. The applications that should be made in this month are of great importance in terms of yield and quality.

Things to do in June;

1- Fertilization

• The use of the second half of the organic fertilizer can be continued in the first period of the month.
• If a soil analysis has been done, leaf fertilizers can be used according to the results. Especially micro elements such as boron, zinc, manganese can be applied from the leaves during this period for fruit set and quality.

2- Fighting Pests and Diseases

• Fighting can be done against the American white butterfly.
• Fighting can be done against hazelnut scale insects at the end of the month.
• Fighting should be done against the dalekıran. (This period corresponds to approximately the end of June and the beginning of July.)
• The hazelnut weevil becomes active at the end of May and the beginning of June. If spraying was not done in the previous period and the pest is still intense, fighting can be done.

3-Weed Control and Soil Cultivation

• Weeds in the hazelnut garden should be cleaned mechanically or appropriate herbicides should be used.
• If the soil is too compact or open to erosion, superficial hoeing can be done.
