Durak Hazelnuts Provides Pest Control Training to Producers

The Durak Hazelnut Sustainability Team continues its training programs to raise producer awareness and increase agricultural productivity. In this context, a significant training program for producers was held in the Yogunluk neighborhood of the İkizce district of Ordu, in collaboration with Durak Hazelnut and the İkizce District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry.
The training provided detailed information on integrated pest management and control methods for the brown skunk, a pest that threatens hazelnut production. Participants were informed about the pest's identification, spread, biological characteristics, and environmentally friendly control methods. The training is expected to significantly contribute to raising producer awareness, particularly given the increasing impact of the brown skunk in recent years.
Durak Hazelnut officials stated that they will continue to provide producer training programs in line with sustainable agriculture principles in the coming period. We thank all producers who participated in the training and wish them a fruitful and productive harvest season.
