Harvesting Must Be Done at the Right Time and in the Right Way
To achieve high quality and yield in hazelnuts, harvesting when the fruits are fully ripe is crucial. Early harvesting can lead to lower yields, quality loss, and storage problems.
Hazelnuts that fall to the ground during harvesting should be collected immediately, and contact with the soil should be prevented using nets or tarpaulins. Furthermore, broken, damaged, moldy, and other damaged hazelnuts should be separated throughout the harvest to support the production of a high-quality product.
Disease and Pest Monitoring Must Continue
