Pre-harvest mowing was carried out in our model gardens.

As Durak Hazelnut, within the scope of our sustainable agriculture efforts, we carried out pre-harvest scythe applications in our model orchards.

Pre-harvest scythe work in hazelnut orchards is of great importance in terms of controlling weeds on the orchard floor, organizing the harvest area, and making the product easier to collect. Preparing the orchard floor for harvesting prevents fallen hazelnuts from getting lost among the weeds, thus contributing to reducing product losses.

Dense weeds can cause hazelnuts to remain moist on the soil surface for a long time and become mixed with foreign matter. Timely scythe application helps to carry out the harvest process more regularly and efficiently, while also supporting the preservation of product cleanliness and quality. It also allows producers and harvest workers to move more comfortably and safely within the orchard.

As Durak Hazelnut, we continue to carry out our work in our model orchards in accordance with the needs of the harvest season in order to support our producers, contribute to the preservation of product quality, and develop sustainable hazelnut production.
