Greengrocer Visits Were Made in the Western Black Sea Region

As the Durak Hazelnut Sustainability team, we met with greengrocers in Sakarya between July 22-24.
This visit was organized to learn about the current situation of greengrocers and to listen to their complaints and expectations. In the interviews with greengrocers, the difficulties encountered in the sector and the expectations regarding sustainability were discussed in detail.
Among the most frequently expressed opinions by greengrocers were issues such as market fluctuations and price instability. In addition, it was emphasized that sustainable agricultural practices should be disseminated and supported.
As a result of the interviews, as the sustainability team, we aim to create an action plan by taking into account the views of the greengrocers. These visits are considered an important step for sustainable hazelnut production.
